is Deeksha?
|
Deeksha is a direct transfer
of divine energy ultimately leading to the experience of enlightenment which
is our natural state. Deeksha triggers a neurobiological shift in the brain by
activating the frontal lobes. This shift is necessary before one can feel enchantment
with life and bliss. Deeksha also decreases the activity of the parietal lobes
of the brain where all sense of separateness and survival stress originates from. The
original design of the brain is to perceive unity as the intrinsic reality of
life. The Deeksha process balances the brain and enables it to function harmoniously
and to experience life fully. It is a divine program to remove all filters standing
between you and reality. Reality
is, simply put, ecstatic love, joy and peace. | Origin
of DeekshaThe
Deeksha process was created by Amma and Bhagavan, two spiritual avatars who are
specifically concerned about giving people enlightenment. They founded the Oneness
University near Chennai, India. Amma
and Bhagavan do not concentrate on teachings, they prefer people to discover the
truth themselves through their own personal experience. They are happy to do a
technical job on you, and then you can very well walk in freedom,
choosing whatever path suits your heart. Through
a simple touch of someone who has been initiated into giving Deeksha they help
you to discover the ultimate truth, the essence of what your religion or path
is teaching.
Who is giving Deeksha? Deeksha is given by graduates of Oneness University who have been attuned
and initiated in a specific 21-day process. Kaya Polster and Netra Freise are currently Deeksha givers affiliated
with Abby Eagle’s School of Meditation. Kaya worked as a therapist in Rebirthing,
Tantra and Gestalt for many years, she is a Reiki master and also has trained
in Theta Healing. Netra is a practitioner of Colour Acupuncture, Craniosacral
Balancing and Joint Release massage. Read more about Oneness University http://www.onenessuniversity.org/oneness/cms/home/ Deeksha in Australia http://www.onenessuniversity.com.au/ |

and Science
The
parietal lobes, as part of the Old Brain, host what some neuroscientists call
the orientation association area or OAA. The function of the OAA is to give us
orientation in space. You may take it for granted that you can tie your shoelaces
and walk through a door, but this is only possible due to furious neurological
activity in the rear part of the parietal lobes. Brain
damage to this area makes the smallest tasks like grabbing a glass of water impossible,
because the injured brain cannot perceive a distinction between the hand, the
glass and the space in between. On
the physical level, the ability to perceive boundaries and distinction is essential
for our ability to carry out tasks. However, in the human brain, the OAA is chronically
over-active. This stimulates the amygdalahippocampus connection, a pair
of brain centers that is designed to give a sense of meaning to perceptions registered
as important. If
the OAA, which is designed to create a perception of distinction and separation
to a useful degree, is hyperactive, the amygdalahippocampus connection has
no choice but to interpret this hyperactivity by assuming that separation has
more reality than just on the level of physical objects like your hand and a glass. The
brain concludes that we are fundamentally, existentially separate from anything
else. The sense of self, which the brain creates constantly in reaction to perception
of what is perceived as other than self (the basic premise of objectrelations
theory in developmental psychology) is then endowed with a sense of absolute,
distinct separation of self from everything else. Neuroscience
has shown that in deep meditation or prayer, the OAA in the parietal lobe is temporarily
blocked from neurological input. This can give temporary states of vastly expanded
consciousness, as the sense of separate self cannot find its usual boundaries
and expands to find them. The
Deekshas seem to induce a process of transformation in the parietal lobes that
permanently changes their function to a natural level, where physical boundaries
can be perceived but unnatural over-activity ceases. The amygdalahippocampus
would then have no more reason or stimulation to create the sense of an existentially
separate self. Deeksha
can be seen as Divine surgery. It triggers a process of transformation in the
parietal lobes and an activation of the frontal lobes, which constitute the New
Brain. This process is conducive to the experience of non-separation, the experience
of unconditional love, joy, and peace, which will eventually lead to enlightenment
and Oneness. The
process of transformation
Every
natural system grows in an non-linear way. A prime example of this principle is
the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly. A caterpillar does not really
become a butterfly in the cocoon. Rather, it turns into a chaotic molecular mesh.
Out of this chaos, the
structure of the butterfly spontaneously emerges. Many
people experience some kind of crisis and loss of identity in their spiritual
journey, a phenomenon sometimes referred to as the dark night of the soul. Deeksha
is a unique tool that can help you passing through this stage. Read
here what Christian Opitz, a neuroscientist, found out: There
are two basic systems of awareness in the brain, the quiescence and the arousal
system. When someone can experience something with a fully functional quiescence
system, which means total awareness, the arousal system becomes activated and
joy is experienced. However, the normal human brain does not have a functional
quiescence system and therefore we tend to recoil from so many of our experiences
in life because they do not become joyful. When
the parietal lobes are chronically overactive, the quiescence system of the brain
is severely handicapped. Likewise, with the chronic under-activity in the frontal
lobes, the arousal system of the brain is equally under-active. This leads to
a biological urge to never fully experience anything, thus preventing the transformation
of any experience into joy. When an inner sense of disorientation and chaos in
life occurs and cannot be fully experienced, one cannot pass through it fully. The
caterpillar does not resist its own dissolution and can therefore emerge as the
butterfly out of its own destruction. Human consciousness however does resist
these experiences as long as the brain is functioning the way that has been normal
for human beings until now. Biological urges are simply stronger than conscious
intentions. Imagine
someone told you that you get fully enlightened if you just dont sleep for
six months there goes your enlightenment. No matter how dedicated you are,
the biological urge to sleep will be stronger. Therefore
spiritual practices that are performed while the brain is stuck in the limited
patterns of an under-active quiescence arousal system can only give temporary
states of enhanced awareness and joy, but for most people this cannot lead to
a dissolution of the old sense of self and the emergence of enlightenment. If
our brain is biologically wired to the pattern of not experiencing with full awareness,
the best intentions to change this are quite powerless. However, if the brain
becomes attuned to its original design, then the functioning of the quiescencearousal
system is naturally activated. This
is what Deeksha does very effectively: 1.
The activation of the quiescence and the arousal systemAfter
the system has been activated, one can naturally surrender to whatever ones
experience is, because there is a biological base for such surrender. To
illustrate the difference in effectiveness between intentionbased change
and a biological change via direct attunement, lets take a look at strength. Strength
is a neurological function, not a quality of muscles. The factor that limits a
persons physical strength are neurological inhibitions. Thats why
a person during an epileptic seizure can have superhuman strength, because the
neurological inhibitions fall away. These inhibitions affect other brain areas
than the inhibitions that keep a person from being naturally enlightened, but
otherwise they both are really the same process. The
world record for the bench press is 897 American pounds (lbs). This is the result
of an extremely talented athlete working very hard with all his desire and intention
to be super strong. A gorilla shares 99% of the genetic makeup of a human being,
yet without any intention or training or effort, the average gorilla has the strength
that equal a 4000 lbs bench press. All
a gorilla does is that he is attuned to his natural design. Gorillas dont
try to be strong, they just are what they are. A
human being disconnected from the original design can never match the natural
strength that comes effortlessly to a gorilla. Since
the biochemical process of neurological inhibition is the same, whether its
the inhibition of physical strength or of the quiescencearousal system,
this example can show us why the attunement to our original brain design through
Deeksha is so much more powerful than any efforts based on intention. 2.
The activation and regeneration of the septum pellucidumIn
the 1950s, neuroscientists discovered that the activation of the septum pellucidum,
a brain center right in the middle of the brain, can instantly heal chronic pain,
depression and anxiety, give a sense of deep peace and above all of joy. However,
due to the neurological over-activity in the parietal lobes and the resulting
lack of neurological energy for the rest of the brain, the septum pellucidum of
almost everyone is chronically under-active. This actually leads to a shrinking
of the size of this important brain center, which in turn makes joy and aliveness
less and less available to a person. This
then activates a persons search for experiences that induce joy, because
joy is natural and we are biologically wired to experience it. However, once the
septum pellucidum is shrunk, only extreme stimulation can activate it to produce
some joy. This is the real biological base of addictions to drugs and over-stimulation
of the senses. The
septum pellucidum is the brains reward center and when it is not functioning
naturally, we experience reward or joy mostly through unnatural means. Even in
people who live a very pure lifestyle, the experience of joy is often dependent
on conditions. One of the most common descriptions of the enlightened state is
that of unconditional joy. In other words, a truly enlightened person has a naturally
functioning reward center which is always on, not just under certain
circumstances. A naturally functioning septum pellucidum makes the experience
of life rewarding, no matter what it is. Everything fully experienced turns into
joy. A healthy
septum pellucidum allows us to experience joy in everything, making everything
rewarding, including the experience of the dark night. This makes
it possible to actually go through such experiences of inner chaos without a biological
urge trying to direct us away from them. For the last seven years, Christian Opitz
has invented and investigated methods for activating the septum pellucidum. Looking
at the brain changes in people who undergo the Deeksha process, he has come to
the conclusion that this is by far the most powerful means to activate and regenerate
the septum pellucidum available today. This alone makes the Deeksha process incredibly
effective as a means for total inner transformation. Read
