The
Science Behind the Kiss
Vitamin A is known as the beauty vitamin because it is responsible
for the symmetry of the body. True vitamin A is found in liver, egg yolks, shellfish,
butter, cream and cod liver oil. Dr Max Gerson treated many cases of terminal
cancer with excellent results using raw liver juice.
Vitamin A does not occur in plant foods but green leafy vegetables and yellow
and orange fruits however do provide carotenes which are the precursors for it.
However for the body to convert carotenes into vitamin A there are two requirements:
First fat needs to be consumed in the same meal and second the thyroid gland needs
to be functioning correctly (Note that 47% of Americans are hypothyroid). Reference: Vitamin A Saga by Sally Fallon and Mary G. Enig, PhD in Wise Traditions in
Food, Farming and the Healing Arts, Vol 2 #4 Winter 2001.
Norman Walker, the fresh juice guru states that: "The addition of some raw
goat's milk or a little pure raw cream to the carrot juice gives it a somewhat
exotic flavor and often serves to relieve the monotony when a reaction or distress
many have a tendency to turn us against the plain juice. It is pertinent to remark
that cream is a fat, pure and simple, while milk is definitely a concentrated
protein food...". From Fresh Vegetable and Fruit Juices by Dr Norman
W. Walker, page 35.
Adding
some fat (cream or coconut milk) also helps reduce the glycemic index/load of
the juices.
Why
not try some cow cream or coconut cream with your next juice? For a single serve
of cream ask for a kiss. For a double serve of cream ask for a pash.
